Digital Product Passport:
Don't Just Comply. Get Ahead.

The DPP reshapes the way we share product information and powers the shift to a circular economy.

We’ll give you the strategy, technology, and expert support to stand out.

What is the DPP?

The EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a core initiative of the European Commission’s Green Deal, more specifically the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). Think of it as a standardised digital record, like a webpage for your product.

Accessed easily via a data carrier (e.g., QR code, NFC tag, …), a DPP will provide key information to businesses, authorities, and your consumers, including:

  • Product information and identification
  • Origin and composition
  • Environmental impact (like carbon footprint and resource consumption)
  • Repair and recycling instructions
  • Supply chain details and relevant certifications

DPP: a new compliance reality

DPPs are becoming mandatory. The first wave starts with batteries (from February 2027), followed by sectors like textiles, furniture, tyres, mattresses, steel, iron, aluminium and toys. Up to 30 product groups are being reviewed for a mandatory DPP by 2030.

What does the DPP mean for your business?

The Digital Product Passport isn’t just another piece of paperwork. It will fundamentally change how your business handles product information. You’ll face new demands for transparency and data management across your operations in three key areas:

Your products & how they're made.

To meet DPP goals for greener, repairable items, data on circularity starts at design. Manufacturing processes will have to support detailed traceability.

Your data & IT systems.

Get ready to consolidate, manage, and secure vast amounts of product data. This means integrating different systems and improving data governance.

Your supply chain.

DPPs
require much closer work with your suppliers. You’ll need accurate, verifiable information, and your responsibility for data along the chain grows.

Crucially, preparing for the DPP can uncover unexpected challenges. Your data might be scattered, internal knowledge limited, and the full impact on IT, finance, and operations is often larger than people think. That’s why the best time to start preparing is today.

What are the next steps?

Once you’re done with the maturity assessment, it’s time to move on to the analysis and implementation. Here’s what you can expect:

Analysis
Building on your assessment's insights, we'll design your optimal Digital Product Passport solution. We'll take a deep dive into the technical, functional, and commercial requirements specific to your business. This ensures your DPP is efficient and aligned with your strategic goals. At the end, you'll get a blueprint for your implementation.
Implementation
After the analysis, our expert community gets to work. This phase focuses on the practical build and rollout of your DPP system. This includes the technical development and integration, functional deployment across your teams, and ensuring it meets all commercial and regulatory demands, resulting in a fully operational DPP.
